Charter pricing guide

The Transportme Charter Pricing Guide feature allows users to create complex pricing guides. The system will utilise these guides to automatically generate the charter pricing.

The charter pricing guide utilises three main components to automatically create pricing:

  • Pricing Guide: A pricing guide contains all the criterions and factors. Pricing guides are selected by the system when the criterion factors (conditions) are met.
  • Criterion Factors: These are the conditions in which the system determines if a pricing guide will be selected by the system.
  • Outcomes: These are user defined outcomes to create the pricing. When a Pricing Guide is selected, the system will apply the outcomes created by the user.

The will work through each charter pricing guide criterion, in order until it finds one that matches the conditions of the charter. Once a pricing guide criterion is found, it will apply the outcomes.

In the example below. We have set a Criterion Factor of "Customer" and selected Coffs Bus. We have then set an Outcome of "Markup" and set the value expression to 50. So, in laymen's terms what this pricing guide is doing is the following.

If the Charter Customer is Coffs Bus then apply a 50% mark up to any trip pricing.

We can get really creative.

In this example. We are saying:

If the Customer is Coffs bus & The trip time is between 0900 and 1800. Then calculate the price as follows:

$5 per every Kilometre.

$88 per every "Normal" hour.

$30 per every "Wait" hour

$25 per every "Dead" Kilometre.

To apply the charter pricing guide to a charter:

Select the Use Charter Pricing Guide checkbox

Then, press the Apply Charter Pricing Guide at the bottom of the charter, all billing lines will then be updated.

Press the info icon to view a log of the applied pricing guide logic.
