App for driver - using the Manifest Route
Manifest Route is used on school and passenger services where passengers are pre-registered against a trip. As the bus travels along the route, the app shows the driver which passengers are scheduled to board or deboard at the current stop, and updates automatically as the bus moves between stops.

Manifest passenger list
The BusRoll Passengers list shows the passengers who are scheduled to board at the current boarding stop (shown at top left, e.g. "Combine/Hway"). As the bus moves to the next stop - either automatically via GPS or manually using the arrows - this list updates automatically to show the passengers scheduled at the new stop.

Marking a passenger on board
When a passenger taps their smartcard on the reader, the app matches it against the manifest and ticks the Tapped On? checkbox next to their name.
Passenger not on the manifest
If a smartcard is tapped and the passenger is not in today's manifest list, the app will notify the driver. The driver must confirm before letting the passenger board.
Forgotten Smartcard
If a passenger has forgotten their physical smartcard, the driver can select the Forgotten Smartcard button. This opens the Search Smartcard screen, where the driver can search by the passenger's name or card number and let them board without tapping on.
Adding a new passenger
If a passenger is not yet registered in the system, the driver can select Add new Pax to open the New Passenger form. The driver enters the passenger's First Name, Surname, Year, School, and Deboarding Stop, then selects Add. This information is sent to the control hub for the team to review and add the passenger to the system.
Show Onboard List / Show All Passengers
- Show Onboard List: displays only the passengers who have currently boarded the bus. Selecting it again toggles the button to Hide Onboard List.
- Show All Passengers: displays every passenger scheduled for the current trip, whether boarded or not.

When the bus approaches a stop where passengers are scheduled to deboard, the app notifies the driver with an on-screen message showing how many passengers are about to deboard. The affected passengers' rows are highlighted red in the passenger list.
Passengers are marked as deboarded either by tapping off their smartcard, or by the driver tapping their row in the list. Once marked, Total Passengers updates automatically to reflect the new count.
Everybody Off
Use the Everybody Off button to deboard all currently onboard passengers at once - for example, when the bus arrives at a school and all remaining passengers get off. All onboard passengers are marked as deboarded and Total Passengers resets to 0.
