Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

HOW MFA WORKS? 

• Transportme™ supports 2 factors authentication: user’s username and password and one-time code from Authenticator app on user’s phone.
• To improve the system security, an operator may choose to enable MFA .

ENABLE MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION ON TRANSPORTME™ OPERATOR PORTAL.

• Login to Transportme™ Operator portal.
• Select Settings tab on the main menu.
• Select Multifactor Authentication (MFA) tab on the side menu. 
• Switch on the toggle Enable two-factor authentication. 
• Enter the Number of remember days into the text field - the number of days the browser is remembered and system will not ask for the one-time code when signing in with that browser. 
• Select SAVE button to confirm. 

LOGIN TO TRANSPORTME™ OPERATOR PORTAL WITH MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION.

After the MFA is enabled for your operator, the next time you log in to the Operator Portal you will be presented with a QR Code to setup your Authenticator app and asked to enter the one-time code. 

• Login to Transportme™ Operator portal.
• Open authenticator app to scan the QR code. 
• Enter the one-time code which is generated by the authenticator app. 
• Select Login button. 

HOW TO INSTALL AUTHENTICATOR APP AND GET THE ON-TIME CODE?

• Install Authenticator app from Google Play or Apple Store. The recommended apps are either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. 

• Open the app, eg Google Authenticator > tap on plus + button 

• Tap on Scan a QR Code and scan the QR Code on the login screen 

• Get the one-time password code and enter into the Operator Portal login screen.  Please note: The code is updated every 30 seconds on the Authenticator app.

• The next time when system asks for authentication code simply enter the current code in the Authenticator app.
