Pax A920 Terminal upgrade guide
If your company has purchased the Cashless Transactions module and Pax A920 terminal, this Terminal Upgrade Guide is to provide user instructions in order to confirm a terminal’s firmware/software is up to date and the device has been key injected at DMG’s Key Injection Facility (KIF).

The guide covers the following topics:
- How to check security keys (without these, a terminal cannot process financial transactions) - page 2.
- How to check the firmware version, update may be required if older than 31/12/2020 - page 3.
- How to update the device to use a Telstra M2M Sim card - page 3.
- How to update your software after DataMesh has loaded the latest version on your device - page 3.
- How to update the firmware / payment application on a terminal using the “PayDroid” tool. Additional instructions will be provided if version is older than 31/12/2020 - page 4.

How to pair the device to the iPad.
You need to load the Transportme™ App, and also Load the Merchant details if it is used for cashless payments.
- Start from page 3 of the guide : How to update the device to use a Telstra M2M Sim card.
- Once you have 3/4G working can you confirm you have a terminal ID and Merchant ID by going to the information i con up the top Right of the Satellite app on the device? and confirm the version - it should be 1.03.043B
- Load the Transportme™ App, you need to plug into a computer via the USB cable and follow the steps in the guide starting from page 4: How to update the firmware / software application on a terminal using the PayDroid tool – DataMesh to provide additional information for upgrade.

The Caveat to this process is that there is sometimes a delay with DataMesh swapping over the terminal in their system so payments wont work until that is done, you can confirm by pressing the (i) on the satellite app, and confirming if a terminal id is present. If it is not you have to ring or email DataMesh to get this actioned. (or TME can try on your behalf).
