Transportme™ Passenger app - signing up a new passenger account

To use the app, users are required to register a Passenger account. They can sign in to the app using either their Google or Apple account, or they can sign up using their email address.. The following steps are for registering a passenger account with your email and self-created password. 

Signing up for a new passenger app account.

  • After downloading the app to your mobile device, open it. Please note that the app requires Android 12 or higher, or iOS 15 or higher.
  • Select the New User? Sign Up button.

  • Complete the Sign Up form by entering the following details:
    • Email: Enter the email address you would like to associate with your passenger app account. An email will be sent to this email address for you to verify your account. 
    • Password: Enter a valid password. Your password must include a lower and uppercase letter, a number, and be a minimum of 8 characters in length.
    • Confirm Password: Re-enter your password to confirm it has been entered correctly.

  • Check your mailbox for the email address you provided for your account. To verify your email address, open the email and select the link. Note: Check your Junk/Spam folder if you cannot find the email in your inbox. 
  • If you cannot find the email, select the Resend verification email button to resent the verification email.

  • Once you have selected the link, the email verified page will be shown confirming your email has been verified. 
  • Go back the app, you will be signed in automatically and the Favourite page will be shown. You have now created your passenger app account. 

Error messages examples

When creating your passenger app account you may from time to time be presented with an error message if something isn't right.

Error message example Solution
invalid email 1 screenshot Double check that you have entered your email address correctly, including the @ symbol. 
invalid email 2 Double check that you have entered your email address correctly, including the . symbol. 
invalid password Ensure the password you are entering meets the requirements. Your password must include a lower and uppercase letter, a number, and be a minimum of 8 characters in length. 
password error Double check the password and confirm password fields match.     
existing email address screenshot The email address provided cannot be used to create a new passenger app account as it is already registered. Please try another email address or try logging in to your existing account. If you need to reset your password, use the forgot password feature.
