Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) helps to improve system security, operators may want to enable MFA.
How MFA works in Transportme™ Operator Portal?
- Transportme™ supports 2-factor authentication: user’s username and password and one-time code from the Authenticator app on a user’s phone.
How to enable MFA in Transportme™ Operator Portal?
Note: this feature is only available for operator admin.
- Login to the Transportme™ Operator Portal as usual with your admin account.
- Select Settings > select Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) sub menu.
- Switch on the toggle Enable two-factor authentication > specify the Number of remember days to remember - the number of days the browser is remembered and system will not ask for the one-time code when signing in with that browser.
- Select SAVE button to confirm to enable MFA for the operator from the next time login.
- After the MFA is enabled for your operator, the next time the users log in to the CMS, they will be presented with a QR Code to setup the Authenticator app and asked to enter the one-time code.
How to reset multi-factor authentication for operator's users?
Note: this feature is only available for operator admin.
- Login to the Transportme™ Operator Portal.
- Select Users tab on the main menu.
- Select Users tab on the side menu.
- Locate the user you wanted to reset multi-factor authentication using Search box.
- Select lock icon in Action column to reset multi-factor authentication after confirming the prompt - the Operator Portal will display QR Code for the user to enter the one-time code when they log in to the Operator Portal even if the number of days remembered has not yet been reached.
- Select Yes button to process to reset the multi-factor authentication. Or select No button if you want to cancel the action.
