PAX A920 - How to check M2M sim card data signal

This process is for operators that have purchased the Pax A920 device,  cashless ticketing feature and have an M2M sim card    
Please preform these checks in an area that has strong data signal.  


If you need to check that your device is receiving data signal to troubleshoot an issue, follow the steps below.  If you do not have data signal and you are in an area with strong data signal, please check with your M2M sim card provider regarding outages or billing. 

  • Swich the unit on using the power button on the right hand side

  • The unit will take approx 20 seconds to start up. Wait for the Transportme app to load.

  • Look for 3g/4g signal icon at the top of the screen.  If you cannot see this symbol, the M2M sim card could be damaged and should be replaced so the Pax A920 can have data coverage.  The example below shows 3g.
