Create new role

  • A user role is a collection of customisable permissions and system access that are assigned to that role. Examples of a roles: administration, reception, workshop manager, etc.
  • A user role then will be assigned to a user.
  • The operator would create the new user a login to the Operator Portal and the user can only access what the role has been assigned.
  • Note
    • This feature is available if your company has purchased the 2nd Tier User module.
    • All operators that use this feature, including QST operators, are subject to these monthly costs depending on how many users. The cost is PoA monthly. 
  • Login to Transportmeā„¢ or QST or TfNSW operator portal. 
  • Select Users tab .
  • Select User Roles tab on the left menu. 
  • Select plus + sign to add a new user role. 
  • Enter new role information:
    • Role Name: defines what this role is called for reference when assigning to a user. 
    • Permission:
      • View only: select this will allow user to view data on the module only but cannot conduct any action on the module. 
      • Execute: select this will allow user work on the data on the module. For example: this role can create or delete or change data on the module or can do any functions on the module. Note: when selecting execute permission, this will automatically check "view only" permission. 
  • Select the Save button to create a new user role.
  • Example: The new rule is Smartcard read-only role. The role will allow user to read Smartcard data only but user can conduct any action on the other modules such as sending message to drivers, create new route, delete a route category.
