Setup clear of bus check - COBC (edit a route)

This is available if your company has paid for the Clear of Bus Check feature.
This is a standard feature for TMR Queensland's School Ticketing.
  • Login to Transportme™ or QST or TfNSW operator portal.
  • Select Clear of Bus Check feature while editing a route:
    • Select the Routes tab on the main menu.
    • Select Routes from the left menu.
    • Locate the route required to update using Search bar, then select the Edit button in Action column for Transportme™ or eye icon in Actions column for QST operators to open Route Edit - Route Information screen.
    • Select pen icon in the Detail Information section to be able to edit the route information.
    • Scroll though to checkboxes, select Clear of Bus Check checkbox.

  • Enter End Route Time:  An alert message will be sent to the alert contact(s) after 15 minutes from the End Route Time if the driver has not completed the COBC.  The alert messages are sent every 5 minutes until the COBC code has been successfully entered into the iPad.  In this example the alert message would be sent at 9:15.
  • Select 2nd Code Check (optional): When the driver ends the route with 2nd Code Check then selects the log out button on the driver app, a 2nd code is generated and the driver will need to type this 2nd code into the iPad.  This is a second check of the bus to ensure no passengers are still on board. If the 2nd code check has not been done within the configured stationary time after the route ended, bus check alert will be sent to registered contacts.
  • Scroll through and select Save Changes button to confirm changes.
  • How to configure an Alert Contact: Select Alert contact tab,  select  Bus Check Alert then provide phone number and email address > select the Save button. When an alert is triggered, a SMS and email will be sent to this alert contact (s). More information can be found here
  • Configure Stationary time: Select the Settings tab > select Stationary Time then enter the stationary time in minutes > select the Save button. More information can be found here
    • By default, Stationary time is set to 10 minutes if the setting is left blank

Note:

  • In offline mode - the Operator Portal cannot know if the driver enter the clear of bus check code, therefore the alert messages will be sent to alert contact(s) as the above rules.
