Send message to Driver app

The Operator can send instant or scheduled messages to any buses or routes using Transportme™ Driver app or QLDSchoolBus app or TfNSW Driver app (driver app). Messages can also include a PDF attachment. 
NoteDrivers and routes must be created prior to using this function.
  • Login to Transportme™ or QST or TfNSW Operator portal.
  • Select the Message tab on the main menu. 
  • Select + New Message button for Transportme™ and TfNSW operators or Add New Message button for QST operators

  • Select recipients - who will receive the messages: 
    • All Devices or iPads: selecting this option will allow messages to be sent to all devices. Note: only logged in devices will receive the messages.
    • Specific routes: selecting this option will allow messages to be sent to selected routes. Select the Select Routes field to choose route(s) from the drop down list that you wanted to send messages to. Note: Only selected running routes will receive the messages.
    • Drivers: selecting this option enables sending messages to specific drivers. Choose driver(s) from the Select Driver dropdown list.
  • Select Delivery Time: decide when the messages will be sent out.  
    • Now: to send the message instantly. 
    • Later: to send the message at scheduled Date at Time 
  • Message: the content of message. 
  • Attach File: a pdf can be attached and will be sent with the message. Note: the pdf file size is 10MB maximum. 
  • Note
    • If a message is sent to a driver and they are not logged in to the driver app, it will appear in the driver's Inbox in the driver app. 
    • If a message is sent to the driver app but it is in offline mode, it will appear in the driver's Inbox in the driver app.
